Issue #13 is the first 100-page FM, its banner reading “BEST ISSUE EVER!” The cover is Basil Gogos’ first Frankenstein Monster — painted as a try-out for James Warren, who bought it on the spot and ran it as the cover; the original later sold at Heritage Auctions. “Monsters in Review” indexes the first twelve issues inside.
