Bindery: Only subtle bindery or printing defects are allowed. No bindery tears are allowed, although on Golden Age books bindery tears of up to 1/8" have been noted.
Cover Appearance: Cover is flat with no surface wear.
Inks: Inks are bright with high reflectivity and a minimum of fading.
Corners: One corner may be almost imperceptibly blunted, but still almost sharp and cut square.
Cover Condition: Almost imperceptible indentations are permissible, but no creases, bends, or color break. Small, inconspicuous, lightly penciled, stamped or inked arrival dates are acceptable as long as they are in an unobtrusive location.
Spine: Spine is tight and flat.
Staples: Staples must be original, generally centered, with only the slightest discoloration.
Paper: Paper is off-white, supple and fresh.
Interior: Only the slightest interior tears are allowed.

Ron Cobb takes on The Projected Man — the 1966 matter-transmission-gone-wrong chiller — for Issue #45, an issue collectors flag for its photo finds: the famous shot of Bela Lugosi posing with an ape, and “The Day the Post Master Trapped the Ackermonster,” on Don Post casting Forry’s lifemask.
