Inside This Issue
Horror learns to laugh at itself in Issue #154: Love at First Bite takes the cover, and “Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters… and the Monsters Die Laughing” looks back at the original masters of monster comedy. Disney’s The Black Hole gets an early preview, “The Monsters from the Ad” celebrates poster art, and “Death’s Quartet” pays respects to four departed — among them Ted Cassidy, the beloved Lurch of The Addams Family.
Cover Spotlight
A color still of Susan Saint James and George Hamilton from LOVE AT FIRST BITE — the 1979 horror comedy that sent Dracula to New York and played his predicament for all the laughs it was worth.
☠ Collector's Notes
Horror-comedy coverage is thinner on the ground than straight horror, which gives Issue #154 its niche — Love at First Bite plus the Abbott-and-Costello look-back in one place. The Ted Cassidy farewell matters to Addams Family collectors.
