Inside This Issue

A landmark merger: Issue #70 is also Monster World #1, the companion title folding into the FM masthead. Fittingly, Lon Chaney Jr.’s Wolf Man howls on the cover. Inside, the “Battle of the Frankensteins” pits monster against monster, The Black Sleep and The Mummy shamble through, and a “6 Monsters for the Price of One” spread gives the monster kids their money’s worth.

Cover Spotlight

Lon Chaney Jr. as the tragic WOLF MAN — a painting of Universal's most sympathetic lycanthrope, on the first issue to bear the Monster World banner alongside FM.
